Tomorrow the first of February is Saint Brigid's day. We still have many traditions associated with this day. Our next lecture takes place this Thursday 26th where Dr Catherine Swift will be delivering a lecture on "Rural entrepreneurs and the Foundations of Kilmallock". Our neighbouring has always been an important town in the county with a wealth of history. We welcome you to join us for what will be an interesting lecture. Our first lecture of the year kicks off this Friday. Happy new year to all our supporters this year. ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰ Wonderful day at our #christmasmarket in #bruff today. Thanks to all the wonderful stalls that came and all our friends, family & neighbours! Especially in the chilly fog & ice ๐Ÿฅถ ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡ #OTD - 59 years ago today we remember. Wonderful welcoming a group of students from @tus_ire to the @fitzgeraldcentrebruff yesterday. Students were from #Portugal and #Slovenia who are currently studying Rural Development. Our hearts are heavy today, upon hearing of the passing of Vicky Phelan. In 2018 we had the honour of bestowing the Bruff Fitzgerald Bible Award upon Vicky, a woman who embodied the legacy of the awardโ€™s namesake by taking political and social action in response to injustice. Vicky was pillar of strength and a beacon of hope, her tireless efforts to campaign and educate have contributed enormously to Irish society. Vickyโ€™s ceaseless commitment to the public good has protected the rights of countless women in Ireland, and will continue to do so for many generations to come.
